Solid 3/4" Hardwood

Solid wood from top to bottom. Solid 3/4" flooring gives you a great opportunity for customizing. Your choice of wood species, width, and grade all contribute to the personalization of your solid 3/4" floor. This is an excellent choice in most areas of a home on the ground level or above. These floors can be refinished years down the road giving new life to your solid investment. The solid 3/4" hardwood floor installed in your home today is essentially identical to the floors still gracing centuries-old European estates. Solid 3/4" products are offered both in unfinished and prefinished.

Engineered - Wood Flooring

For people seeking wood flooring for any level of the home, especially those who want a wide plank look, engineered floors are a great candidate. They are produced with several layers of wood stacked in cross-grain configuration then bonded together under heat and pressure. Sounds a bit technical, but the result is a wood floor that resists movement caused by less than ideal conditions. Whether glued, nailed or floated, engineered products from Dakota Floors offer flexiblity, stability and value to your flooring investment.

Laminate

Laminate flooring offers a wide selection of designs that have the look and feel of hardwood, ceramic tile and slate. Ease of installation an durability are key benefits of laminate flooring. Laminate floors can be installed on all levels of the home. It's low profile allows for flexibility in installation. Dakota Floors has many colors and texture options in-stock, along with coordinating trims and quality underlayment to round out a beautiful flooring solution.

Ceramic Tile

Made from a mixture of clays and minerals, ceramic is a dense, easy to care for surface. Tile is perfect choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and entry ways. It resists moisture, stains, and bacteria while providing a beautiful look. Dakota Floors offers an extensive array of ceramic and porcelain tiles along with more than 100 decorative accents, allowing you to mix sizes, colors and shapes to create something completely unique to your home.

DuraCeramic Tile (LVT)

Do you make coffee in the morning with bare feet? Your feet will love waking up to this product. It's warmer and more resilient than ceramic tile. It can be grouted, tight-fit and sealed. DuraCeramic is durable and also easy to maintain. Plus, it can simply be installed directly over top of most existing hard surface flooring without the expensive removal costs.

Cork

Many people think of cork as a relatively new and possibly unreliable option particularly as a surface flooring material. And yet, there are examples of Natural Cork floors in public buildings that were installed over 100-years ago and are still in use today. The Library of Congress in Washington, DC is one excellent case. Today, cork flooring is created from the post-industrial by-product of the bottle-stopper industry. This 'waste' material is ground up and then formed into sheets using minimal amounts of adhesive to bind the particles together under high pressure. The size, quantity, and type of cork granule in conjunction with varying degrees of pressure make the difference between "bulletin board" material and material suitable for flooring applications. Why Cork - because it is comfortable, warm, durable, resilient and easily installed and repaired. Protect the environment, protect your feet from the cold.
